When did you start your business and why?

I started with Isagenix the week I turned 72 in December of 2013

What do you feel makes your target audience special?

They are people that are concerned with their health and wealth and are looking for ways to achieve their goals and have a positive outcome.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about starting their own business online?

I would advise them to find the right business or company that they can feel passionate about.  Have enough support and guidance and support from experienced mentors. Possibly join a few Facebook groups that can support your business and thiers.

If you could go back in time and do something differently, what would you do and why?

I would have researched the online business I started before I went into something that I did not know how to do years ago.  Online business has come a long way since 11 years ago when I started an online commerce business with inventory.

How long did it take you to launch your website once you decided to start a business?

I am fortunate I have a replicated website that is provided by my company.  Years ago when I had my online business I used Wordpress and it took lots of my time.  I would suggest that if you are not experienced to hire someone that is.

Did anything surprise you about creating your website?

Learning how to add inventory to the catalog, pricing, etc.

How did you promote your site when you first started out? Has anything changed between then and how?

This was 11 years ago and everything has changed since then.

Do you have an email list, and if so, what is the most effective way you have grown your email list?

I do have an email list.  I have grown it between phone contacts, Facebook and primary LinkedIn.  I have a CRM that I use for all of my contacts that keeps me organized.

Do you earn money from your site, and if so, how? Affiliate marketing, ads, products, etc.?

My current website does have a way for people to become preferred customers.  If they purchase retail I get a commission on the sale.  They can also enroll as a Preferred customer.

Who are your favorite bloggers or podcasts?

I have several, currently I learn from my LinkedIn coach about how to post on LinkedIn and Facebook the proper way. For personal growth, Simon Senek, Eric Worre, LaChelle Adkins and Barbara Beckley.
